Andrews

Bakersfield
Bakersfield is nine miles south of the Pecos River in eastern Pecos County. It was named for J. T. Baker, a promoter who hoped to develop the townsite in 1929 after the discovery of oil in the Taylor-Link field.

Balmorhea is on Toyah Creek, Farm Road 1215, and U.S. Highway 290 in southwestern Reeves County. Indian and Mexican settlers farmed around the area from early times, taking advantage of the good supply of water from nearby San Solomon Springs

Barksdale
Barksdale formerly known as Dixie, is on the Nueces River State Highway 55, twenty-four miles southeast of Rocksprings in southeastern Edwards County. Its early years the community was called Dixie for nearby Camp Dixie.

Barstow is five miles east of Pecos in southwestern Ward County.The town was named for George E. Barstow,qv a Rhode Island land promoter who established it.
